History: An elderly scientist and member of the Cult of the Black Sun. Dr Driesch was active during World War II, when presumably he was involved in the creation of Masterman I and II. Post-war, he oversaw refinements to the superhuman programme, before being summoned to Berlin in 1987 to defrosting and revive of Masterman II. During the Ritual of Nine Angles, when Greta Haas called Iok Sotot to Earth, Driesch noticed the entity’s hesitancy to inhabit its new body. Haas promptly offered Driesch up as a sacrifice. Iok Sotot entered his body, which was too frail to withstand the internal pressure and exploded.
