History: The first superhuman, created by Nazi scientists and occultists. Empowered by a serum provided by the Order of the Black Sun. His body is occupied by Iok Sotot, one of the Many-Angled Ones. Fought and injured his British counterpart Maximan on December 21 1944, until both he and Maximan were killed by the atomic bomb.

Known superhuman powers: Masterman is resilient enough to shrug off Maximan’s attacks. His first incarnation’s abilities beyond his strength and resilience are unknown.

Other abilities: Masterman is a host body for the Many-Angled One called Iok Sotot, Eater of Souls. This occupant is capable of surviving past the death of its host body. As a product of the Masterman serum, his body is strong enough to withstand occupation by a Many-Angled One (conventional bodies tend to explode). Potentially his powers could grow to include any other supoerhuman ability.
